Welcome. Dobro Pozhalovat'.
This is our first gathering and I am thrilled to share the space with you.
This community spans across continents, languages and professions but I do know that we share a similar passion: to elevate our craft to the next level, whatever it may be. From eager newcomer to devoted practitioner, from a burning desire to a full-blown wish, from a hungry actor to a forever ascending artist.
I have some projects that I am excited to share with you. I am gathering my #tastytonguetuesday series on a YouTube Channel: Actor to Artist.
Here, you can find an assortment of Elocution (diction + ARTiculation) videos, from facial apparatus warm-ups to vocal warm-ups, from articulation exercises to tongue twisters, and beyond. These exercises are not solely for actors: they are for entrepreneurs, teachers, public speakers. In essence, everyone. If you have a presentation at work or an audition on the fly or perhaps want to explore the capacities of your vocal instrument, the videos are there for you!
As the Elocution series evolves, I am eager for input. What would you like to work on? Are you particularly keen on tongue twisters or articulation? What is most challenging? Intriguing? How would you like to develop your voice?
Feel free to reply via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or send me a DM on Instagram @serabanda.
At the Ilkhom Theatre, before every sketch or étude, we always began with the phrase: Vnimaniye - Nachali / Attention - Begin.
And so, for my first and all future sign-offs, I leave you with an end that is an evermore beginning.
Vnimaniye - Nachali,
